EMDR

What is EMDR?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a form of therapy designed to help people process and heal from trauma. EMDR is one of the most effective modality used to treat trauma. It's based on the idea that traumatic memories are often "stuck" in the brain, leading to distressing symptoms like anxiety, flashbacks, or emotional numbness. EMDR aims to "unstick" those memories, helping the brain process them in a healthier way. The goal is to reduce the emotional charge of the memory and help you move forward with greater clarity, peace, and resilience.
